Information Regarding 
the 2008 Pageant


Applications, rules and regulations are available by writing to:
 
Hookstown Fair, Princess Pageant, P.O. Box 33
Hookstown PA 15050

or by calling Susan Waxler, chairwoman, at 724-544-9723. 

Applications must be returned to the fair address by July 15th.  There must be at least three contestants to conduct the contest.

 

  1. Contestants must live in Pennsylvania, have never been married, be at least 12 years old and not older than 14 years old by June 1, 2008.
  2. As part of the competition, each contestant will be interviewed and is required to give a two- to four-minute speech on “Topic To Be Announced.”

Six Young Ladies competed in the 
2008 Hookstown Fair Princess Pageant
 
 
The Hookstown Fair Princess Pageant, sponsored by South Side Garage, is here to get the younger ladies involved and to give them an idea of what being fair royalty really means. The Hookstown Fair Princess will receive a $100 savings bond donated by South Side Garage. On Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 7:00 PM on the main stage, the reigning princess, Mikala Doran, will crown the 2008 Hookstown Fair Princess!

2008 Entries

Rebecca Birge is the 14-year-old daughter of Lynnette Norris of Beaver. Rebecca is a student in the Beaver Area School District. Her hobbies include caring for her 4-H hogs and breeding animals, playing the violin, babysitting, reading, writing, taking pictures, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sydney Kinney is the 12-year-old daughter of Jamie Kinney of Beaver Falls. Sydney is a student in the Blackhawk School District. She enjoys singing and dancing, but her favorite hobby is cheerleading. She also loves marine animals.

Erika Kraus, 13, is the daughter of Larry and Carol Kraus of Aliquippa. Erika is a student at Hopewell Memorial Junior High School. Her hobbies include horseback riding, drawing, collecting model horses called “Schleich’s,” reading, and writing.

Stephanie Moore, 14, is the daughter of Todd and Lisa Moore of Hookstown. Stephanie is a student in the South Side Area School District. Her hobbies include riding dirt bikes, drawing, playing with her dog, singing, hanging out with her friends and family, playing ‘touch’ football, and traveling.

Alexandra Unis, 12, is the daughter of Nick and Nadine Unis of Aliquippa. Alexandra is a student at St. John Baptist Catholic School. Her hobbies include horseback riding, playing the guitar, fishing, and painting. Alexandra also participates in fencing and is a cheerleader at her school.

Cheyenne Winkle is the 12-year-old daughter of Anthony and Donna Winkle of Hookstown. Cheyenne is a student of South Side Middle School. She enjoys drawing, gardening, and playing sports such as softball and basketball.
